How are Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools affecting the creative processes of young musicians?
Our research found that two thirds (63%) of young creatives say they are embracing AI in their music making. But what does this look like in practice?
To find out, we paired a young producer and filmmaker from the Youth Music NextGen Fund together.
Filmmaker Samuel Mansell headed up to Sweet Philly's home studio in Edinburgh, and over the course of a day, learned how AI and musicians can work in harmony - as well as some of the concerns around using the tools. Philly walks us through which AI tools are available to young creatives, and how they use them to build a track.
A film by Samuel Mansell / Drop All Words Media. Made possible by Youth Music.
