We're putting together a team to help us run the Youth Music Awards, taking place on Wednesday 16 October 2024 at Troxy, London.
We're currently recruiting for Awards Hosts, Backstage Presenters and a Video Editor for the 2024 awards.
The deadline for all applications is Sunday 26th May 2024, 11:59pm.
About the awards
The Youth Music Awards represent the future of music. They celebrate the most forward-thinking projects and people making, learning and earning in music.
The awards are a great opportunity to gain experience working on a large scale music industry event. You'll also get to see some great emerging artists and be in the room with music professionals working across the industry, some of whom help judge the awards.
Youth Music aims to support young people in the early stages of developing creative careers, therefore we would particularly like to encourage applications from 18 to 25 year olds. You don't need to have taken part in a Youth Music funded project to apply.
Awards Hosts
We are looking for two music-loving hosts to present the Youth Music Awards 2024 on the night, introducing the nominees, performers, announcing the winners and keeping the guests engaged throughout the evening.
Hosts will need to provide a seamless flow throughout the evening, linking between live performances and 12 award categories, keeping guests engaged and the energy in the room high.
Backstage Presenter
Working closely with our video production team and the other presenter, you’ll interview nominees, winners, performers, sponsors and other special guests throughout the event. This footage will be edited and distributed across Youth Music channels to engage a wider audience with the Youth Music Awards.
We’re looking for someone who can speak confidently with guests and make them feel comfortable being interviewed on camera. The successful applicant will be fully briefed on our campaign story, then bring this to life in their interviews.
Video Editor
We are looking for a talented video editor and motion graphic designer to create branded visuals for the Youth Music Awards 2024, in association with Hal Leonard Europe. This is a freelance contract role for someone seeking paid experience to build a career in the creative industries.
The editor will work with our agency partner, Tell Studio, receiving feedback and mentoring from experienced industry professionals. You will edit, grade and mix UGC content from nominees, professionally shot content from video shoots, music videos and live event content.
